Hardware requirements
OTSCM introduced an application environment that allows distribution, installation and maintenance of a complete customer software environment.
OTSCM idea comes directly from customer needs:
- Customers that has to manage large number of CAD workstations and laptop
- Customer that has large number of designers from different disciplines
Customer performs tasks like:
- Installation
- Maintenance
- User profiling
- Helpdesk
- Data Analys
Common CAD Users and Manager Issues
- IT has no knowledge about CAD requirementsand designer’s processes
- Users, very often, require administrative rights to perform very common task on theirs workstation
- Not all Autodesk software can manage configurations inside standard deployment
- Any modification on software configuration require to deal with IT stuff increasing the time of execution
- Users and Workstations groups for IT (Microsoft Active Directory) does not reflect the functional design groups
- CAD Manager has no direct control on software installed when created a new workstation asset inside a company
Key Features
- Managing of Installation and maintenance for Autodesk® software;
- Multisite distribution of installation images;
- Creation of installation and maintenance tasks can be performed:
- Locally by Users using the local client
- Remotely by Administrators/Cad Managers using a centralized control panel.
- Enterprise infrastructure integration and independence (Active Directory, Language and Region settings, OS Software versions, Autodesk Software version)
- Users and Workstations profiling, in order to maintain uniform workspaces and settings.
- Data collection and information management retrieved from the monitored workstations.
- Reporting: offer the possibility to create reports and usage statistics.

OTSCM Server
OTSCM Server is divided in three software:
1. OTSCM Information Dispatcher
IIS Web Application for communication between clients and servers
2. MSSQL SQL Server
Data repository and report management with MSSQL Reporting Services
3. OTSCM Manager Console
Central point of administration, the administrator can view all the data related to one user, user profile, workstation, group and send Task single users/workstation or selection of them
Server Task Editor
The Task Editor is a complete IDE for task development. Is possible to manage:
- General information (description, start message, splash screen, ecc)
- Visibility condition
- Requirement condition
- User Impersonation
- Execution Code: the “script” to launch with administrative rights on the workstation
The administrator can publish the Task for all the sites or for a specific site and also can give the possibility to a user group to view and use the Task with the OTSCM Client.
Server HelpDesk
Designer User Feature
- Ability to attach Screenshots and / or attach files
- Ability to report a priority level
- Open new ticket and / or processing and / or closed
- Creation of Help DeskTicket based on HelpDesk Chat
- Chat in real time with staff HelpDesk
HelpDesk User Features
- Ability to manage tickets
- Technical assignment
- Track duration
- Changing the status (pending, response provider, taking charge, closing, etc.)
- Ability to initiate corrective actions remotely on users’ workstations by running task OTSCM
